Exotic and Healthy Fruits

I keep exploring the benefits of varicose foods and in this week’s special are nutritious pineapple and papaya. I was fascinated to find out that those fruits are great for digestion and immune system boost. I hope you will find useful my findings about these exotic fruits.

Pineapple is unique fruit that is popular for its magic effects on health. This tropical fruit is a natural digestive enhancer due to its bromelain compound. This wonderful enzyme breaks down the protein and regulates the digestion more efficiently. Bromelain helps to reduce inflammation and swelling, it also acts as a mild pain reliever. This powerful enzyme reduces the risk of developing blood clots and helps to remove toxins. Pineapple is rich in vitamin C, and in combination with bromelain, it helps to treat colds and infections and fight free radicals. Bromelain can be collected and turned into a supplement, which is often used by professional athletes because of its anti-inflammatory effects.

Pineapple also contains large amounts of potassium, manganese, and vitamin B1, which help in healing wounds faster, maintaining muscle function, and the development of energy in the body. Pineapple juice reduces the symptoms of morning sickness; it presents intestinal disorders and cures constipation due to its dietary fibre content. Pineapple is also known to be an effective cancer preventer, as its stems have the molecules CCS and CCZ, which are believed to stimulate the immune system to target and fight cancer cells.

Papaya is full of essential nutrients and contains a special enzyme called papain, which is an exceptional aid to digestion. Papain helps to digest and dissolve tough protein fibres and can prevent indigestion and nausea. Papaya also contains chymopapain, and in combination with papain, these enzymes reduce inflammation, speed up the healing process, and break proteins into amino acids more efficiently. A few slices of this exotic fruit will stimulate appetite and help to treat dyspepsia and gastric catarrh. This fruit has a wide range of vitamins and minerals such as zinc, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, and vitamins A, C, and E. Papaya has powerful antioxidants which prevent the cholesterol from oxidizing and therefore lower cholesterol levels. This fruit revitalises the body and helps to boost energy and vitality by supporting cardiovascular health, immune, and digestive systems. Papaya can help you to lose and regulate weight, as it’s low in sodium and calories but high in nutrients.

Other parts of papaya have many medicinal properties. For example, papaya seeds have a compound called saponins which has an antimicrobial effect, and papaya skin is often used in beauty treatments. As it helps to heal burns, cuts, and acne, it is often added in skin lightening creams.

Papaya has also few aphrodisiac properties. This sweet, tender fruit acts as natural birth control for women, due to phytochemical elements which suppress the effect of progesterone hormones and reduce the chances of becoming pregnant. Raw fruit helps women to regulate menstrual cycles by promoting natural menstrual flow, which benefits reproductive health. Papaya is also excellent for male virility and prostate health, as it contains an enzyme known as arginine that boosts the blood flow around the genitals. It also increases nitric acid, which helps to relax the muscles around blood vessels, which promotes healthy and strong blood flow.
